Can you help the Easter Bunny find and count the eggs that are hidden around the parks? Pick up or download a free Easter trail from Friday 29 March until Sunday 14 April.

Easter Forest School and Essex library mobile book bus at Thorndon

Book special Easter Forest School sessions running at Thorndon Country Park (North) as part of our 25th anniversary of The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler celebrations.

Suitable for ages three to ten. Running on Wednesday 3 and 10 April.

Enjoy the original, official The Gruffalo sculpture trail in the enchanting Deep, Dark Woods, and enjoy storytimes and more at the Essex library book bus - situated close to the Visitor Centre from 10am to 12.30pm on the same days.

Reach for the stars with Sky Ropes

Sky Ropes and Sky Ropes Junior is re-opening this Easter school holidays at Great Notley Country Park.

Sky Ropes Adventure is suitable for adults and children starting from 1m tall and Sky Ropes Junior for children from 2 years old with a maximum height of 1.22m.

Hunt for shells at Cudmore Grove

After you've finished our Easter Animal Mysteries Trail, head down to the sand at Cudmore Grove and comb the beach for shells, creatures and sea glass. After a stormy winter, April is a great time to find all kinds of sea treasures.
