The Daily Mile at Essex Country Parks
Discover an everyday walking route at a Country Park near you
The Daily Mile™ launched in schools nine years ago as a free, inclusive and social form of physical activity to complement PE lessons.
Now Active Essex are launching 'Take a Walk in Essex', a form of The Daily Mile at four of the Explore Essex Country Parks for children and adults of all ages to take regular exercise in the outdoors in a beautiful, natural environment to boost their wellbeing.
'Take a Walk in Essex' will be available from this October at: Belhus Woods, Danbury, Great Notley and Hadleigh Country Parks (as well as Garon Park, Southend).
Getting started is easy. Simply download the maps below (waymarking coming soon!) and read the place pages to plan your visit.
These walks are perfect for families with primary school aged children, as well as adults looking for a gentle route to help build fitness this autumn and winter – and beyond.
