Cressing Temple Barns

Cressing Temple Barns is a historic prestigious site and home to many of the county's major events, making it an ideal place to hold your booking. With optional exclusive use of our licensed venue, you have the flexibility to create your perfect event. You can choose from the Barley Barn, the Wheat Barn, the beautiful Tudor Walled Gardens or our smaller atmospheric areas such as The Granary or The Court Hall to host your event, along with a variety of outdoor options too.

Great Notley Country Park

Home of the Discovery Centre, Great Notley Country Park boasts expansive panoramic views with various vantage points and a natural amphitheatre, proving popular for events such as stargazing, open air cinemas or festivals. The smoother paths lend themselves well to various running events.

Hadleigh Country Park

Hadleigh Country Park is a popular site for hosting physical or sporting events from 10k runs, to cross country, even boot camp events. The demanding terrain in some areas of the park can be appealing to those seeking a tougher challenge, but there’s certainly smoother, flatter ground for those events looking to take a slower paced approach.

Marsh Farm Country Park

Adjacent to the River Crouch, the extensive sea wall path at Marsh Farm Country Park offers fantastic views over the country park and the river appeals to longer distance running events, such as 10ks and half marathons.

Weald Country Park 

Host of our most diverse set of events, from charity runs to orienteering, Weald Country Park boasts spectacular views and space, covering over 520 acres of woodland, wildflower meadows and open grassland. The diverse and expansive land makes it suitable for most types of events.

Other sites

Suitable for complex and large scale events include Thorndon Country Park, Belhus Country Park, Cudmore Grove and Danbury Country Park. Popular for smaller groups interested in activities such as organised dog walks, horse rides, orienteering, and scout events to name a few.
