Thaxted Festival: Edgar Francis and Jâms Coleman
An exciting recital with violist Edgar Francis and pianist Jâms Coleman as part of the autumn programme at Thaxted Festival.
Edgar Francis is a dynamic and versatile musician, with a passion for performing that involves him in all aspects of the viola.
He has performed in leading venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Kolner Philarmonie and The Royal Festival Hall. As first prize winner at the 2021 Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competition, his debut album will be released on Champs Hill records.
Jâms Coleman regularly performs at the major festivals and venues in the UK and in Europe. Highlights from his 2022-23 season include recitals at the BBC Proms, Champs Hill, Cheltenham Festival, King’s Place, Machynlleth Festival, North Norfolk Music Festival, Ortús Chamber Music Festival, Penarth Chamber Music Festival, Petworth Festival, Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music, and The Royal Concertgebouw (Amsterdam).
