Colchester Chinese New Year Gala 2023
Join the Colchester Chinese Cultural Society to celebration the Chinese New Year of the Rabbit
To celebrate the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit, the Colchester Chinese Culture Society will be hosting a Chinese New Year Gala on the Saturday 21st January 2023.
The gala will be held in St. Botolph’s Church, Colchester, and will include Lion Dances as well as music, dance, and song performances by professional troupes and community members.
The Chinese New Year Gala is a prestigious annual event which has been running through the years in various venues. The Colchester Chinese Cultural Society are excited to be joined by the people of Colchester in celebrating Chinese culture and welcoming the Year of the Rabbit.
This event is supported by Essex County Council’s Arts and Cultural Fund and the Essex Culture Diversity Project.
