North Essex Astronomical Society at Great Notley

North Essex Astronomical Society is one of the larger astronomical societies in the UK with over 200 members. They are also one of the few providing members with access to a full-sized observatory at a dark-sky location

The North Essex Astronomical Society are active in the local community and regularly hold public star gazing and solar gazing sessions at Great Notley.

Members range from beginners, armchair astronomers, visual observers to keen astrophotographers. All events are open to all and cover a wide range of interests, knowledge, skills and abilities. Some members are more active than others but everyone is welcome.

The North Essex Astronomical Society also has a young astronomer's club as well as running stargazer workshops and events for schools and Scout/Cub/Brownie groups.

All events are free to attend and suitable for all ages.
