Trailnet: Free Activity Day at Thorndon
A FREE activity day at Thorndon Country Park for all ages.
All ages are welcome to take part in the free activities (please note booking is required).
Featuring Live music throughout the day, activities include:
• Cycle skills: Tackle an obstacle course under the guidance of expert instructors
• Woodland School: Learn woodland skills like campfire, den building, hammocks from Essex County Council Park Education Rangers
• Orienteering: Local club (HAVOC) will be providing coaching and taster sessions where you use a map and compass to find marked locations on an orienteering course in the forest.
• Geocaching: High-tech treasure hunt using handheld GPS units to find hidden caches in the forest.
• Nature Walk: Join our expert guide for a short walk highlighting the natural wonders of Thorndon Country Park.
• Inclusive Bike Demo: Opportunity to try adult and child adapted bikes/trikes for those with balance and coordination issues.
