Hadleigh Country Park and Salvation Army: Big Butterfly Count and Craft

Come along to Hadleigh Country Park for the Big Butterfly Count and craft.

The Big Butterfly Count will take part in the community orchard at Hadleigh Country Park.

The Salvation Army will be providing the craft which is making a butterfly with a wooden peg.

The Big Butterfly Count is an annual event organised by the Butterfly Conservation and takes place nationwide.

It involves spending 15 minutes on a sunny day counting butterflies in a green space, whether that be a park or your garden, and adding your results on the free Big Butterfly Count smartphone app.

And don't forget about our Bugs and Butterflies Summer Trail at Hadleigh.

Simply pick up a new FREE Bugs and Butterflies Summer Trail sheet (while stocks last) and help your children find the bugs and butterflies hiding in the park and count up your answers.

Have fun with the selfie board, use the spotter’s guide to see what else you can spy, and make a day of it.

You can also discover more about butterflies in our parks with our butterfly blog.
