*Sold Out* One Day Willow Deer Sculpture workshop with Jo Hammond

Work with one of East Anglia’s best willow workers. On this full day course Jo will introduce you to willow sculpture and the use of freeweave.

Weave supple willow twigs into a lovely deer sculpture, perfect to display in the garden. No experience needed- we’ll work step-by step in with clear demonstrations for each stage. Please note: Willow weaving is moderately hard work, and requires a firm grip.

This is a great opportunity to work with one of East Anglia’s best willow workers. On this full day course, which will take place at Cressing Temple, Jo will introduce you to willow sculpture and the use of freeweave. You will learn how to create a framework, how to cover and shape the frame with freeweave, and how to build the body, head and legs. You will complete deer sculpture which stands about 55cm tall to the top of its head, with the antlers adding some additional height.

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please either bring a packed lunch or visit the on-site Tiptree Tearoom.

The ticket price includes all materials and any necessary tools will be provided. This workshop is only suitable for over 18s.
