Jo Hammond workshop: One Day Running Hare Sculpture course
Join experienced tutor Jo Hammond for this workshop, learning step-by-step how to create a hare sculpture for your house or garden.
You’ll learn to weave natural brown willow into sculptural forms starting with a firm framework, followed by a covering of sinuous ‘freeweave’.
Then your piece takes shape by adding legs and a head, with ears and tail as the finishing touches. This running hare design is an ideal decorative piece for the garden or house.
No experience needed- we’ll work step-by step in with clear demonstrations for each stage.
Note- willow weaving is moderately hard work and does require a firm grip.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please either bring a packed lunch or visit the on-site Tiptree Tearoom.
The ticket price includes all materials and any necessary tools will be provided. This workshop is only suitable for over 18s.
