Jaywick Martello Tower Summer Talk 2024: Mapping the Colne

Artist Jane Stewart has been Mapping the River Colne for the last couple of years.

As a woman of the Colne, born in Colchester, raised in Halstead and lived in both Brightlingsea and Wivenhoe, her life has revolved around this river, it's history and the issues it faces environmentally.

She has collected and is still collecting stories from its banks, having walked various stretches both alone and with community groups.

Hear her tales from the riverbank and the reasons she has for undertaking such a project.

Doors open at 6.30pm, talk starts at 7.00pm. Entry £2.00, free refreshments provided.
