The Essex Record Office collect historical documents that tell the story of over 1000 years of Essex history. Join us at Jaywick Martello Tower to explore our handling collection and create postcards to share your local memories.
We will also have Martello Tower badges to decorate and take away!
Open the Box is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to connect with communities across Essex to raise awareness of archives and collect new stories.
