Finchingfield Post Mill - Heritage Open Day
Visit Finchingfield Post Mill on Sunday 18 September.
Finchingfield Post Mill is open for one day only as part of Heritage Open Days 2021.
The oldest windmill in Essex, this Post Mill stands on a hill overlooking Finchingfield, the most photographed village in the county.
The Grade II-listed Post Mill – also known as Duck End Mill and Letch’s Mill – is thought to have been built around 1756. The last of seven mills, it is thought there have been mills in this village since medieval times.
