Cressing Temple Barns: Willow workshop garden decorations
Join our workshop and create wonderful willow dragonflies and bulrushes for your garden
Make bulrushes and dragonflies for your garden with expert Jo Hammond.
These lovely willow pieces are quick to make and so effective displayed in a flower bed. Each design introduces different basketry skills: for instance, there’s twisting and wrapping, and corn dolly weave, all demonstrated in easy stages, step by step.
In a day, you can expect to make at least three bulrushes and two dragonflies – enough for an eye-catching group in your garden.
Note- willow weaving is moderately hard work and does require a firm grip
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please either bring a packed lunch or visit the onsite Tiptree Tearoom.
The ticket price includes all materials and any necessary tools will be provided.
This workshop is only suitable for over 18s.
