Butterfly Trail at Belhus Woods Country Park

Take the new butterfly trail at Belhus Woods Country Park - suitable for everyone.

Get ready to spot the brilliant butterflies at Belhus Woods this summer!

Belhus Woods is home to many species of butterflies. With over 300 acres of ancient woodlands, flower rich meadows, and sparkling lakes, it provides everything a butterfly needs to thrive.

The park team have pulled together a fantastic trail (suitable for all ages) so you can enjoy these stunning creatures and learn more about them along the way.

Pick up a free printed booklet and start your trail at the Visitor's Centre (and finish at the lakes).

This trail is perfect for adults and families of all ages.

At Belhus Woods the team are doing lots of work to restore the meadows and grasslands and other landscapes, to boost them for butterflies and other insects.
