Rooms to Hire

There are two meeting rooms available for hire at Cressing Temple Barns as well as the barns and entire site, depending on your requirements.

The Lecture Room

For larger meetings, our Lecture Room can accommodate up to 50 delegates– complete with a projector, screen, computer speakers and flipcharts available for your use.

Located within the Visitor’s Centre, the Lecture Room boasts a glorious light and views of the grounds, making your visit both comfortable and pleasant.

The Martin Room

For smaller or private meetings, our dedicated meeting room can facilitate up to 10 delegates. Based in the farmhouse the room also allows for the use of the adjoining kitchen as a break-out room for your refreshments.

You can enjoy a walk in the Tudor walled garden during your lunch or a flick through our historical guidebook whilst visiting the 13th century barns

The Barns

If you are looking for an iconic location to host a large conference or forum, look no further. Both the Wheat Barn and Barley Barn boast incredible views of the ancient timbers and ample space for your delegates to be seated. The impressive acoustics in the barns means that sound travels well to reach all your guests.

Our on-site caterers – Tiptree Barn’s Tearoom can provide a variety of options for delegates including breakfast sandwiches, buffets,scones and refreshments.

Third-party events

Cressing Temple Barns is a historic and prestigious site, making it an ideal place to hold your event. With optional exclusive use of our venue, you have the flexibility to create your perfect event. You can choose from the Barley Barn, the Wheat Barn, the beautiful Tudor Walled Gardens or our smaller atmospheric areas such as The Granary or The Court Hall to host your event.

Accessibility

There are two disabled toilets on site. Level access to all areas apart from Stables, Bake House and Granary. A mobility scooter is available to loan if booked in advance.
