Art in the Park
Free family Art in the Park sessions at Danbury
Join INSTAR, artists Trish Evans and Nick Humphreys for a fun creative family workshop inspired by their giant tree kaleidoscope at Danbury Country Park called the Infinity Forest.
Children will create their very own kaleidoscope to take away, make their own stencil visual artwork inspired by the colours and designs of the Infinity Forest sculpture and help to create a collective visual artwork inspired by our love of forests.
Suitable for families (children under 7yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult throughout the workshop).
Sessions will last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Event details
There will be three activities in the session.
Activity 1:
Create your own kaleidoscope to take away to explore your local Essex trees
Children will each make their own hand-held kaleidoscope to take away and use.
Activity 2:
Tree stencil art
Inspired by the shapes and colours of the Infinity Forest sculpture, children will create their own visual stencil art inspired by UK native trees and leaves.
Activity 3:
Letter to the forest family tree
Children we be given a pre-printed square (part of our family tree puzzle) and write a haiku or a letter to the forest on it. They will then find the co-ordinate of where their square needs to be displayed on our family tree wall art and watch how the tree grows!
